FRIENDS AND KINDNESS

Because of a busy schedule and limited time over the next few days I will not be able to post. Although, I hope to post upon returning to the states.

Let it be said that despite my criticism and commentary, every Saudi I have come into contact with has been kind, gracious, generous and helpful. I have met people from Aramco, students, teachers, shop owners, and people on the street. Although with the group most of the time, there have been a few times when I have been off on my own. I have never felt threatened and always secure.

There is no reason to fear Saudis. Do not judge a country, region or entire religion based on the acts of a few. None of us would like to be judges by the actions of Timothy McVeigh or any other individual. People are people and allow your experience with each individual serve as your assessment of that individual.

Aramco has been absolutely incredible supporting this trip. I believe they genuinely want improved relations and understanding between Americans and Saudis. This has been a most monumental experience in my life and look forward to sharing it with all of you. I feel a great sadness leaving but look forward to fulfilling my obligation of bringing my knowledge to you.

I hope all is well and I will see you soon
